South Africa has invested a great deal on ensuring physical safety and security for its citizens. However, within this digital age we’re witnessing a higher rate of criminal activities shifting onto digital platforms. Cyber Safety and security are needs we can no longer afford to take lightly as a nation.
SA currently has the third-highest number of cybercrime victims worldwide. We lose an estimated R2.2bn a year to cyber-attacks. The hunting ground for criminals is now on a cosy seat in front of a computer.
As we approach October which is the International Cyber Security month SafeCyberLife seeks to drive solution-oriented conversations with business leaders across our country.
The SA Cyber Security Summit will focus key discussions around the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) 5 pillars:
• Legal
• Technical
• Organizational
• Capacity Building
• Collaboration and Co-operation
SUMMIT OBJECTIVE
